Description
Harlequin HeatStream Electric 150L Direct Mains Hot Water System With Internal Overflow Kit
Product Overview
The HeatStream 150 Electric with Overfill addresses a common issue in many properties – excess water accumulation. Its overfill system is expertly designed to manage surplus water, enhancing the system’s safety and efficiency. The generous 150-litre capacity also makes it ideal for meeting the hot water needs of a typical family household.
It is an open vented thermal store and therefore not subject to part G Building Regulations in the U.K. and the discharge requirements associated with traditional unvented cylinders. It is very well suited to flats and apartments, but equally at home in larger properties. The HeatStream Electric can simply run the overfill to an external pipe or to a low-temperature waste pipe internally within the property. If neither of these options is possible, this fully internal overfill model can be used.
Once the Harlequin HeatStream is installed, it is filled with water using the filling loop provided. This static body of water is then heated using the built-in immersion heaters. When a hot water tap is opened the cold mains are passed through a 22-mm corrugated stainless steel coil inside the HeatStream. Heat is transferred from the static hot water to the incoming cold water inside the coil and exits through the provided mixer valve as temperature-controlled mains pressurised hot water.
Features and Benefits
- External discharge not required overcoming part G of building regulations in UK.
- ErP B rating for energy efficiency with a heat loss of only of 1.12kWh per day.
- Maximise the benefit of available off-peak electricity tariffs or solar PV.
- Secondary Fast Heat Up boost immersion giving 50ltrs within 20 mins.
- Mains pressurised hot water with No G3 qualification requirement for installation, and no requirement for expansion vessel or T&P relief valve.
- Small 520 x 520 mm square footprint, making it perfect for today’s smaller airing cupboards in new build homes, and an ideal replacement for many thermal stores installed in older properties.
- Stainless steel corrugated coils with large surface area provide very fast heat transfer.
- Outer shell made from tough durable Polyethylene, reducing the chances of damage.
- Inner tank made from non-corrosive Polypropylene, making it ideal for poor quality water areas.
- Extremely low maintenance & reliable with minimal spare parts (just a 6 monthly top up), delivering very low lifetime costs.
- Risk of Legionella is reduced.
