The Oil Firing Technical Association (OFTEC) is the training, standards and registration authority for the oil heating, cooking and storage industry in the United Kingdom.

Pollution Prevention Guidelines
The principal environmental regulators in the United Kingdom – Environment Agency; Environment Agency Wales; Northern Ireland Environment Agency; and The Scottish Environmental Protection Authority - have together produced a series of guidelines to assist in minimising the risk of a pollution incident occurring at an oil tank installation.
