FPS Expo set for record attendance in Dublin!

Harlequin Oil Tanks Stand at FPS Annual Conference and ExhibitionFPS EXPO 2008, Europe’s largest annual event for the fuel distribution industry, will this year feature a number of brand new exhibitors when it takes place from 23-24 April 2008 at the RDS Dublin.

There are over 19 new exhibitors launching and demonstrating their products and services to the market including BP Oil, BKL Technology, Maine Tankers, Mann Technik GB, National Lube Oils, Customised IT Solutions and Italian company Silea Spa.

Also in attendance will be several TankDepot.co.uk suppliers including Titan Tanks, Harlequin Oil Tanks, Dunraven Systems Apollo and Sensor Systems Watchman.

With just over two months to the exhibition, organisers the Federation of Petroleum Suppliers (FPS) say that they have already sold the same number of stands as when the sold out Telford exhibition opened in 2007. This bodes well for a record number of exhibitors this year.

Visitors to the exhibition will be able to visit over 224 stands covering over 8600 sq metres which is nearly 1000 sq metres more than the 2007 exhibition when it took place in Telford last April. Stands will feature anything from technology solutions for the oil distribution market, to oil storage tanks, tankers, vehicle financing and insurance through to ancillary equipment and training.

FPS Marketing and Events Manager, Vanessa Cook comments “This year’s exhibition is very exciting with over 19 new companies so far exhibiting and we are getting more and more enquiries each day. Furthermore, we have found that our online registration of visitors is proving more popular this year and already our pre-registered visitors is up 20% on this time last year.

In today’s competitive business environment it is easy to dismiss visiting or exhibiting at an exhibition as a time-consuming luxury. However, with so much technology now at our fingertips, it is vital to understand that exhibitions are virtually the only place at which buyer, seller and product physically come together. Visitors can see real products, ask questions and debate the merits of a product or service, whilst exhibitors can give information, get customer feedback and physically demonstrate their products. Most importantly, because the business is conducted face-to-face - the most persuasive form of selling and building relationships - deals can be struck there and then."
