Harlequin set to plough a new furrow with BioFuel Station range!
8th September 2007
Leading oil storage tank manufacturer and TankDepot.co.uk supplier Harlequin, is set to plough a new furrow at the forthcoming Irish National Ploughing Championships, by previewing an all-new range of BioDiesel Storage Tanks.
Harlequin’s new range of BioFuel Stations is set to appear on the company’s stand at the Irish National Ploughing Championships, which kick off at Annaharvey Farm outside Tullamore in the Republic of Ireland on Tuesday 25th. September 2007. The new range has been developed in partnership with leading European polymer suppliers and fuel delivery specialist Centre Tank Services.
Harlequin BioFuel Stations are manufactured from a unique BioDiesel resistant grade of polyethylene and incorporate the very latest fuel delivery technology from Europe’s leading fuel dispensing manufacturer, Piusi. Available in a choice of capacities from 1400 litres to 10,000 litres, the new range is suitable for use with BioDiesel grades of up to B100, in accordance with British Standard BS EN14214.
BioFuel Stations will initially be available in 2 grades – Standard and Arctic.
Standard Grade BioFuel Stations are designed for use with BioDiesel Grades of B5 to B30 and feature added-value extras as standard, including 240v Piusi fuel delivery pump; automatic shut off nozzle; Apollo electronic oil tank level monitor; fuel resistant delivery hose; bulkhead light; lockable cabinet access; integral bunding; emergency isolation switch; weatherproof venting; factory fitted fill, vent and access points; and fuel filtration system.
Arctic Grade models build upon their Standard Grade equivalents, but usefully incorporate a thermostatically controlled heating system. The heating system ensures that at low temperatures, the viscosity of higher grades of BioDiesel remains unchanged. Harlequin strongly recommend that where BioDiesel Grades of B30 and greater are being stored externally, an Arctic Grade model is chosen.
A mechanical flow meter can be supplied on all 1,400 litre and 2,500 litre models, and on larger capacity 5,000 litre and 10,000 litre models – a high accuracy, digital flow meter is supplied as standard. Larger capacity models can also be specified complete with Piusi fuel management system, suitable for use with up to 80 users – allowing storage tank owners to take control of their fuel and minimising the risk of fuel theft and fraud. A bund warning alarm is fitted as standard on all 5,000 litre and 10,000 litre models and is an extra cost option on smaller capacity models.
Harlequin BioFuel Stations are scheduled to become available through Harlequin’s network of Accredited Resellers in the UK, Republic of Ireland, Belgium, Denmark and France during October 2007 and the full range will be officially launched at the forthcoming BioDiesel Expo in the United Kingdom.
Also on display at the National Ploughing Championships will be Harlequin’s range of standard Fuel Stations and Fuel Points, Basic and Advance Single Skin Oil Storage Tanks, together with the pioneering tank manufacturer’s range of Bunded Heating Oil Storage Tanks.
Held annually at locations across the Republic of Ireland, the National Ploughing Championships are organised by the National Ploughing Association of Ireland. This year’s event is being held from Tuesday 25 September to Thursday 27 September 2007. Click here for more information about the National Ploughing Championships.
