Customers Set To Benefit From Titan Restructuring

Recent restructuring at the UK's leading storage tank manufacturer Titan Environmental, aims to provide customers with even greater market support, claims the company.

The customer benefits of this new system include enhanced marketing support and new specialist support teams, allocated to specific customers needs. Each customer sector now has its own dedicated sales and business development team. The company claims to have initiated these changes to assist Titan customers to do business more efficiently.

Speaking to OilFiredUp.com, John Daly, Managing Director of Titan Environmental, says “This restructuring and new approach to customer relations is, as we understand it, highly innovative for our industry and underpins Titan Environmental’s ethos of continually reassessing and developing our products and our services. The market in which we operate is continually changing and we need to not only respond to those changes but pre-empt them and put systems in place for our customers to maximise the opportunities that exist.

“Titan Environmental is the market-leader and, as such, we need to lead the way in innovation across our business – from products through to customer support. This restructuring means we are doing just that. We have a vast customer base and need to ensure that everyone gets the levels of service expected from the market leader.”

Titan has developed its experienced field sales team into a team of Key Accounts Managers under the leadership of Commercial Director, Philip Browne, and new Sales Director, Tony Soper. Tony, who has been with Titan for many years, knows the value of experience and is already seeing a positive reaction to the changes.

According to Tony, “The personnel in the Key Accounts Team know the business inside out, they know that Titan is the major force in the fuel, oil and water storage industry and most importantly, they know their products.

“These changes made by the company to help increase levels of sales and customer service have come at a good time. There are misunderstandings about the cost of alternatives to oil heating which have confused the consumer. Likewise, cheap products and installations have been identified as a serious issue in the market. At Titan we have the back up and experience to enable us to overcome these challenges.”

Supporting Tony Soper’s’ Key Account Managers is a new, but highly experienced Business Development Team, based at Titan’s Banbridge Headquarters in Co. Down, Northern Ireland. The new team will be looking after many accounts, ensuring that Titan’s sales force keep in touch with the large customer base. Also involved in promotions and marketing initiatives, the business development team is part of a greatly enhanced marketing office.

Marketing and publicity has always been a crucial part of the business mix for Titan and as the business has grown over the last few years the needs of major customers have become more pressing and demanding. With this in mind, Titan has created a dedicated marketing suite with ten staff under Marketing Director, Mark Brookes. The team includes a dedicated Web Development Specialist and a Customer Relationship Software Manager. Supporting the sales operation is paramount and Sales Director, Tony Soper, is aware that by offering the full support package to customers, Titan leads the way ahead of the other manufacturers.

Tony concludes “Supporting customers on promotions, new product launches and day-to-day marketing is crucial. Titan has always been excellent at offering this service; now with this increase in capabilities Titan’s all-round customer support we have a competitive edge over other manufacturers in the industry.”

Titan has also increased its technical and engineering team with Mark Vaughan as Business Development and New Products Director heading up the future growth and innovation divisions of the company. Julia McDaid has been appointed Technical Director and is building up an enhanced team who will take Titan forward with new technology and designs.
