OFTEC confirms attendance at FPS2007

OFTEC The Oil Firing Technical AssociationThe Oil Firing Technical Association (OFTEC) has confirmed that it will be exhibiting on Stand 72 at the forthcoming Federation of Petroleum Suppliers Annual Conference & Exhibition, at The International Centre, in Telford on 18th and 19th of April 2007.
Promoting the benefits of using oil for heating and cooking, the OFTEC stand will provide helpful advice and information to visitors. OFTEC representatives will be on hand to discuss the latest developments in oil firing equipment and the benefits of OFTEC Membership and Registration for companies and technicians. There will also be a chance to learn about assessment and training and to find out more about recent legislation affecting the oil heating and cooking industry, such as the changes to Part L and its impact for installers, specifiers and consumers.
Nomination forms will be available for the OFTEC Awards for Excellence 2007, which includes a category for Oil Distribution Depots. OFTEC Registered Technicians can also nominate themselves for any of the Installation categories which are Oil Tank Installer of the Year; Oil Stove or Cooker Installer of the Year; Oil Boiler Installer of the Year; and Trainee of the year.
There are 5 regions covering the British Isles for Award purposes. In Great Britain - East, West, North, South; whilst OFTEC has decided to enter Installers in Northern Ireland the Republic of Ireland into a combined, ‘Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland’ category. National winners in the installation and servicing categories will each receive a cheque for £500.
Visitors to the OFTEC stand will also be able to take advantage of OFTEC’s range of Easy Guides, which highlight everything from the latest building regulations to safe oil storage, in an easy to understand format.
