FPS Annual Conference & Exhibition set for success in Telford
28th January 2007
The Federation of Petroleum Suppliers, organisers of the FPS 2007 Exhibition and Conference has announced that with just less than four months to go to this key oil distribution industry event on 18 and 19 April 2007, nearly 95% of the exhibition space has been sold.
Interest in this annual event is growing year on year and this year’s show will see many new exhibitors including SOS Tanker Sales, Vopak Terminals UK, Mabanaft Ltd, GRW Engineering UK and TR Bonnyman & Sons together with long standing exhibitors, DAF Trucks, Dunraven Systems Apollo, Harlequin Oil Tanks, Sensor Systems Watchman and Titan Environmental. To date there are over 100 exhibitors confirmed.
Added interest in this year’s event has also been fuelled by the Conference topic. This year, Buncefield will be the main topic of debate at the FPS Distributor Conference, with Kevin Allars, Head of HSE Chemical Industry Division together with Mark Calvert, MD of Adler and Allan announced as the main conference speakers at the two day event in April.
Mark Calvert from nationwide oil and environmental services group Adler and Allan will focus on the clean up operation which followed the Buncefield disaster whilst Kevin Allars will discuss the safety issues and reviews that followed Buncefield.
Mark comments “The FPS 2007 Distributor Conference is an important forum where key issues and trends can be discussed. Buncefield was a major event in the industry and we have all learnt an enormous amount since. I am hoping that my presentation at the Conference will be both informative and interesting and I am looking forward to the debate it will hopefully create.”
Vanessa Cook, Marketing & Events Manager for the Federation of Petroleum Suppliers (FPS), and organiser of the FPS 2007 Event added: “The conference is an integral part of the event and the Buncefield debate has created a great deal of interest, this year we have both an increase in the number of exhibitors and the number of visitors already registered. The show also always attracts visitors from a number of countries from France, Spain, Sweden and the USA and this year is no exception."
