TankDepot.co.uk tanks up with Harlequin for European Biofuels Expo
30th August 2008
Storage tank manufacturer Harlequin is gearing up for the European Biofuels Expo and Conference, set for Newark Showground on 15 – 16 October 2008 in partnership with online storage tank specialist TankDepot.co.uk.
The European Biofuels Expo and Conference is firmly established as the leading bioenergy show to be held anywhere in Europe, with over 150 exhibitors and over 10,000 visitors already expected. This year’s focus is firmly upon sustainable biofuel and bioenergy solutions for a low carbon, sustainable future. The latest BioDiesel and BioHeating Oil equipment will be on display from market leading manufacturers and suppliers, including Harlequin.
In partnership with TankDepot.co.uk, Harlequin will be displaying its BioFuel Station and BioBund BioDiesel storage tank ranges. Fully bunded and exceeding all applicable statutory requirements, both ranges are ideal for the safe, secure and environmentally responsible storage of BioDiesel and BioHeating Oil, produced in accordance with the requirements of British Standard BS EN14214.
Harlequin’s John Switzer says, “Last year’s European Biofuels Expo, saw the launch of our pioneering BioFuel Station range, designed for the storage and dispensing of BioDiesel grades up to B100. Available in a choice of capacities from 1,400 litres to 10,000 litres, the BioFuel Station range has gone on to become firmly established as the British and European market leader and is now on sale in 8 EU markets.
“Following on from the suceess of the BioFuel Station range, earlier this year at FPS2008, we launched the BioBund range of BioDiesel storage tanks. Manufactued from the same, specialist BioDiesel resistant polymer grade, the BioBund range was designed primarily to store BioDiesel for dispensing through remotely located pedestal type units. However, given the growing interest in BioHeating Oil, BioBunds are also now being ordered to store BioDiesel to fuel domestic heating systems – for which they are absolutely ideal.
Steve Beech from TankDepot.co.uk says, “Following a very positive response to our product offering at last year’s event, we are delighted to be coming back to Newark in partnership with Harlequin.
“During the past year, we have noticed that BioDiesel has changed from being a ‘niche’ fuel for specialist applications, to fuel which is becoming increasingly mainstream. BioDiesel tank sales now represent a significant and part of our business and given the growing interest in BioHeating Oil, we expect that growth to continue almost indefinitely. It is therefore entirely fitting that Bioheat is high on the agenda at this year’s European Biofuels Expo and Conference.”
As well as providing a unique opportunity to meet a wide range of suppliers and see the latest developments in the Biofuel sector, visitors to the European Biofuels Expo and Conference also have the opportunity to attend technical workshops and network with key industry figures.
The Conference which runs alongside the Expo, encompasses all the key issues and meets the challenges of the Biofuels and Bioenergy industry head-on. Doors open on Wednesday 15 October 2008. To reserve your place at the heart of the Biofuels and Bioenergy industry, click here.
