Which Diesel Storage Tank?
Diesel storage tanks have come a long, long way from simply consisting of a single skin metal tank precariously balanced on blocks, attached to a flexible hose and automatic nozzle. Today’s range of diesel storage and dispensing tanks are brimming with the very latest fuel storage and delivery technology, thereby ensuring compliance with the most demanding regulations and requirements.
Regulatory Compliance
All static diesel storage tanks supplied by TankDepot.co.uk have been engineered from the outset to ensure full compliance with all current and envisaged fuel storage requirements, including:
-
British Standard BS5410
-
Environmental Alliance PPG02 Pollution Prevention Guidelines
-
The Control of Pollution (Oil Storage) (England) Regulations 2001
-
The Control of Pollution (Silage, Slurry and Agricultural Fuel Oil) Regulations 1991
-
The Control of Pollution (Silage, Slurry and Agricultural Fuel Oil) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003
-
The Water Environment (Oil Storage) (Scotland) Regulations 2006
Which capacity?
The optimum tank for any diesel storage application, will be dependent upon:
-
The number of vehicles being refuelled on an ongoing basis
-
The type of vehicle which is being refuelled
-
The frequency of refuelling
The table below provides a summary of how many times a selection of vehicles can be filled from each model in the TankDepot.co.uk range. Please note however that vehicle fuel tank capacities may vary from model to model and manufacturer to manufacturer. Therefore, the values below should only be considered as estimates.

Additionally, it is worth giving consideration to buying a slightly larger tank than may be required. This allows you to stock up with diesel when prices are lower and extends the period between refills.
Portable Diesel Dispensing
Since it first appeared in 2006, Titan's Truckmaster range has revolutionised on site diesel storage and dispensing. No more Jerry Cans rattling around in the back of pick ups and no more towing bowser trailers around construction sites. Instead, a lightweight, corrosion resistant tank that simply and easily can be carried on the back of almost any pick up truck.
The TruckMaster features ADR (international Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road) and UN IBC approvals and is suitable for transportation of Lubricating and Hydraulic Oil. Integrally moulded baffles minimise fuel surge during transit, whilst UV stabilised thermoplastic construction ensures the product will not fade, crack or corrode. when fitted to a vehicle, this product does not require ADR Driver Training, it is not necessary to fit Orange Hazard Plates and a TREM (Road Transport Emergency Card) is not required. However, under ADR requirements, the driver is required to provide a transport document.
