Designed to combat the growing menace of heating oil theft from residential fuel tanks, Yale’s new alarm unit is designed to provide protection to the fill area of almost any bunded tank, as’s Steve Beech explains.
“Each alarm incorporates a 60cm retractable cable with an electronic combination padlock. The cable is threaded through the tank’s fill point and inspection point, restricting access to the tank. If the cable is cut or an attempt is made to open the padlock without inputting the unique combination, a 100dB alarm will be activated.

“The alarm also incorporates a level sensor which can be activated, which if disturbed will also activate the alarm. For complete security, the battery compartment can only be opened when the padlock is unlocked and the unit is supplied complete with a visible, warning sticker.”, explains Steve.
