European market leaders in oil and fuel storage tanks and TankDepot.co.uk supplier Titan Environmental, claims to have sent a clear message to the fuel industry at the FPS Exhibition and Conference held last week in Telford.
Titan, best known for its extensive range of domestic and commercial oil and fuel tanks, took the significant step of showing 90% new products at the show, which according to the company, delighted customers and surprised the competition. The Titan stand, which also featured the new Fuelstore branding, acknowledged the influence of owners Kingspan Group PLC was certainly one of the most interesting and talked about stands at the Show. A large team of Titan staff was kept busy with a constant flow of customers, eager to see how Titan claims to be moving the industry forward.
As Titan predicted the star attraction was the new Truckmaster range of ADR approved mobile diesel and lubricant dispensing tanks. Titan launched the smaller 430-litre Truckmaster in March, the TM430 was joined at the show by the new TM430 lube oil tank and the all-new TM900 Truckmaster, which began production only days before the show. The 900 litre model was designed to meet requests by agricultural users for a larger capacity to service combines and other large machinery out in the fields. Alongside the new Truckmaster models Titan showcased the new IBC bund Pallet designed for IBC and mobile bowser storage.
Bio diesel was on the agenda at the FPS show and fittingly, Titan were the only manufacturer ready to showcase a storage and dispensing system specifically designed for bio diesel.
The new Biomaster30 officially launched at the event is designed for blends of up to 30% bio diesel and fitted with a Viscomat pump and clear inner tank to ensure a clean and efficient delivery of the fuel. Titan’s technical development team have been working on a bio diesel project for over a year now and predict a 100% bio diesel tank in the near future when exhaustive tests are completed.
Adblue was again a major part of the Titan story with Titan’s market-leading Bluestore BMV5000 on display. The high tech system with full CIFIC approval has become the industry standard across Europe during the last 18 months. Sometimes accused of over specifying their Adblue systems, Titan is keen to stick to their guns with a top class product. It remains the case that other manufacturers want to down spec their Adblue whilst Titan is clear with its specification agreed with major European Adblue producers. Titan has identified the Adblue and chemical storage market as an important area. With this in mind the company has employed a dedicated team of Adblue specialist staff across Europe to service this growing business, something that no other tank supplier has in place.
Titan’s spill containment range was out in force on the stand with a much larger selection of Spillsafe products and spill kits available. Titan views this as a crucial area in the future and is fast becoming one of the main suppliers of spill containment products in the UK.
Routes to market are the key in any industry and one of the strongest for Titan is its national team of Accredited Installers. With national coverage and stock on the ground across the UK, Titan can offer a supply and install service unlike any other manufacturer. Titan’s installers took advantage of the FPS show to meet and hold their 2nd annual conference. A full turn out and lively debate was accompanied by presentations from Sensor Systems and Adblue specialists. The network which supports the OilAssure industry initiative has recently won two major national contracts for the supply of more than 500 Fuelmaster diesel storage and dispensing tanks.
Titan’s Marketing Director Mark Brookes said, “The Accredited Installer Network is an absolute winner for Titan, the installers, the customers and the industry. With national coverage Titan can push sales leads and site visits out across the UK and be sure that the customer gets the best service and advice.”
Titan’s size and established reputation means that the company is able to pull the OilAssure and Accredited Installer scheme together ensuring that customers stay within the regulations and that tanks are checked regularly and professionally.
There is a unanimous feeling that Titan’s FPS Show 2007 was a huge success. “It was a bit of a brave move,” continues Mark. “Everyone knows we make oil and fuel tanks, everyone knows Titan is the biggest rotational moulder in Europe and everyone knows Titan is the market leader. So it was time to put on a show of new products for the industry and not just oil tanks. The reaction we received was very positive indeed”
“2007 is a big year for Titan; the new products shown at the FPS are just a flavour of what is to come in the remainder of this year. Titan’s product development team have a number of surprises in the pipeline so watch this space.”
