Apollo Set For Manchester Success With 2 OFTEC Award Nominations
19th September 2012
Storage tank telemetry specialist Dunraven Systems Limited, has been shortlisted for 2 awards at OFTEC's forthcoming Awards for Excellence.
Organised by The Oil Firing Technical Association (OFTEC) and open to OFTEC members across Great Britain and Ireland, the annual awards recognise excellence and innovation in the oil heating industry. Fending off competition from across the oil heating industry, the Co. Louth based company is a finalist in both the 'Best Website' and 'Innovative Product of the Year' categories. The winners will be revealed next month at a gala dinner at Manchester Central Exhibition & Conference Sector.
"Our nomination for Innovative Product of the Year, acknowledges the significance of the Apollo Smart Heating Oil Energy Monitor. The launch of Apollo Smart wasn't just the launch of a new product; as the first product of it's type anywhere in the world, it was the creation of a new market.", explains Gerry Jones, Dunraven Systems' Managing Director.
"Designed exclusively for oil heating installations, Apollo Smart allows householders to monitor the volume of fuel inside their tank in litres, fuel levels as a percentage of tank capacity, CO2 emissions and energy costs. Audible and visual low level warning alerts, together with a 'days to empty' function, minimise the risk of running out of heating oil, whilst powerful onboard storage allows data to be retained for up to 12 months. Inbuilt analytical software permits retained data to be reviewed on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis, helping heating oil consumers to better manage energy costs and consumption."
"A truly groundbreaking device, Apollo Smart is also one of the first oil heating products to benefit from 'free for life' software updates. Free updates can be downloaded from the Dunraven Systems' website and ensure the operating system employed on the very first Apollo Smart can be the same as the very latest Apollo Smart. This is a significant benefit to consumers and effectively eliminates the risk of operating system obsolescence - a very real risk with some other superficially comparable systems."
As well as being shortlisted for 'Innovative Product of the Year', Dunraven has also been shortlisted for 'Website of the Year' by OFTEC. The company's all-new, fully featured site was launched earlier this year. It contains a wealth of information on the company; it's product range as well as links to industry partners and online technical support.
