Federation of Petroleum Suppliers Oil Set For FPS2007 Telford
29th August 2006
Highlights of the 2006 FPS Annual Conference and Exhibition
The Federation of Petroleum Suppliers annual exhibition and conference is the UK’s largest and most established event for the oil distribution industry and it’s now in its 28th year. The show typically attracts over 120 exhibitors and some 1800 visitors, and will take place again in 2007 at The Telford International Centre, on 18 and 19 April 2007.
FPS 2007 will cover every aspect of the oil distribution industry – from tanker suppliers and vehicle financing, to ancillary and capital equipment as well as processing features, training, education and IT.
Commitment from many of the oil distribution industry’s key companies led to 50% of the available stand space being reserved the day FPS 2006 closed in April 2006 and in the months since then, that figure has risen to 75% sold. Confirmed exhibitors include: Heil Trailer International, Feldbinder (UK) Ltd, Maidment Tankers, Artegy Ltd, Harlequin Tanks, The Environment Agency and Compuserve Ltd.
Vanessa Cook, Marketing and Events Manager for FPS 2007, comments: “FPS 2006 went out with a bang with record visitor and exhibitor numbers. All the signs for 2007 point to further success. For example, we already have 80 confirmed exhibitors. Over the past few months we have been encouraged to receive very strong messages of support for the 2007 exhibition. The feedback from the equipment suppliers in the sector has been particularly positive, and since we are in the business of listening closely to our exhibitors, we will now prepare an event that once more exceeds their expectation and closely matches their needs.
For companies looking to get their products in front of a host of buyers, FPS 2007 offers an ideal opportunity to do just that. It’s about bringing suppliers and buyers together to do business.”
Commenting on last year’s show, David Hathaway from Pace Petroleum said “I have been coming to the show for 10 years or so and the scale of the event is beyond comparison. The overall level of professionalism and standard of exhibitors is noticeably improved.”
Ged Dickinson, Operations Manager, Total Isle of Man added: “The show is absolutely spot on. I’ve come to gain information. I’ve been looking at a new tanker and tank gauging equipment and a leak detection system. It’s the ideal place to do it.”
Within the framework the FPS, will also be hosting their annual Distributor Conference. The 2006 Conference covered current issues, including security and the oil major distributor relationship, and attracted a record number of attendees, including many industry specialists.
FPS Chief Executive, Susan Hancock said: “We hope that this year the FPS Distributor Conference will attract even more attention and will give delegates an opportunity to enrich their exhibition experience and to contribute to solving important and topical industry issues.”
